Have been 2x now.. food is always so good! Pastries, breakfast, lunch items.. coffees, drinks! Bacalao con guanimes, Mofongo con carne frita (no pic) - specials are good too!

It’s the kind of place that reminds you of home, family, and the traditions we grew up with. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, treating you like part of the family from the second you step through the door. Their kindness and genuine hospitality make the experience even more special, creating that true Boricua atmosphere we all love. The food? Outstanding. Every dish is packed with the real flavors of Puerto Rico—seasoned perfectly, cooked with love, and served with pride. It’s the closest you’ll get to being back on the island without hopping on a plane. If you’re craving authentic Puerto Rican cuisine and a place that feels like home, Cheveres Café is a must. Highly recommended!

First time at this restaurant, Came for lunch and ordered a tripleta good flavor, only thing I didn’t like is they dont clean the meat prior to handing it out, meaning the pork had grease and veins at random spots🤢. Other than that the juice was a bit sour but good and the budin was amazingly good! Willing to give it another try someday Edit: after 3 times visiting we will no longer be back nor recommend this establishment to anyone. Second time ordered frituras and where cold to the touch. Third time we ordered mofongo with chicharon and it was bland no flavor, mofongo was very soft with no flavor at all. Seemed to be in the middle of mangu and mofongo. Pastrami sandwich was dry and no flavor on the meat.

This vibrant and cozy cafe in Lancaster City really hit the spot! We wanted some lunch with flavor and Chevere Cafe came through. Service is friendly and quick. The price point is fair and portions are big. I ordered the Cubano which came on perfectly toasted bread. It did not contain the traditional mustard instead it had mayo ketchup which made the sandwich extra tasty. My hubby had the pernil platter with arroz con gandules and tostones. We ordered the beef empanadas and some quesitos to go - guava and cheese. All of the baked goods, including cake slices, tres leches, flan, etc. looked so delicious it was definitely hard to choose! They also offer fresh tropical fruit juices and fresh coffee including cafe con leche. Tropical sodas are available too - kola champagne, coco rico and others. Great selection! Everything was seasoned perfectly, served fresh and very tasty. There were so many good choices we will have to come back again.

The food was decent, Puerto Rican food. Unfortunately, the service was a bit off. Some items were forgotten and we had to remind them, and the side of tostones took longer than expected even though the café wasn’t busy. We also ordered a latte but were given a tea instead, which seemed like a misunderstanding. Overall, the food was good, but the service could use a little improvement. 3 meals plus 3 drinks and 2 quesitos came out to $68 dollars.
